The 2017 NorRen Summer School is open to PhD students working on energy-related topics. Professionals with a completed master’s degree are also welcome to apply, regardless of academic background (i.e. technology, engineering, law, economics, social sciences, natural sciences, business, etc.).

All admitted students are expected to cover their travel to and from Sogndal, in addition to a tuition fee of NOK 5,000, which covers course materials, social events, lodging, transportation and food for the duration of the summer school programme. The tuition fee is due when you receive your letter of acceptance and serves as a confirmation of your participation. We offer a limited number of tuition grants. All participants are expected to have read the relevant literature that will be distributed before the course.

Additional information for PhD students:

This course qualifies for 5 ECTS credits, provided you participate the entire week, contribute actively to group project work and submit a group assignment of about 10–15 pages (5,000–7,000 words) excluding reference list upon completion of the course.
